BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS


  • Identify the TARGET BEHAVIOR (single most observable, countable behavior interfering with student learning)
  • Gather baseline data on that behavior, using the most appropriate data tracking form:
  • Develop a behavior intervention that addresses the antecedent of the target behavior
    • Utilize the SIT process
    • Utilize big red behavior intervention book located in social worker's office
    • Communicate the intervention plan to all appropriate support staff, parents, etc.
  • Gather data on replacement behavior versus target behavior, using the most appropriate data tracking form
  • Analyze student response to the intervention... repeat process if necessary
